Hi Everybody!
Well i have been posting a bit here and there so i figured that i should introduce myself.
I'm Richard from London, an Aussie but don't hold that against me just yet....get to really know me and then dislike me :)
Found this forum after reading up about the Beresfords so those topics are where most or all of my postings have been so far - as you can see below i am currently using the Caiman which i find to be a mighty fine DAC.
I moved from a dedicated stereo pre/power setup to the Arcam gear you can see below in my sig a little while back and am very satisfied with the results so far.
I tend to listen to a bit of everything but since i started getting a bit more serious with my listening and a little older i can really appreciate material which is mastered well so that is alot of Rock/H-M out the window now. Listened to a couple of recent Red Hot Chilli Pepper albums the other day whilst i was playing around with opamps in the Beresford and they just sound god awful, i am far from their biggest fans but i was staggered how badly these were mixed on disc.....radio friendly indeed.
Anyways i hope to start posting a bit more and feeling part of the community here, it has a nice friendly feel to it unlike most forums these days.
Cheers for now.
