Hi.

I'm after a clear Acrylic turntable cover. Measurements to be around H:20cm W:45cm D:40cm. I don't mind if it's a bit bigger.

If anyone has one knocking about that would be cool.

Cheers
Jo

Very nice. Unfortunately they are too shallow in height.

Great price.... i had a cover made by a plastic company for my Clearaudio deck, gave them the cut out sizes etc. cost me £65.00. Much cheaper than the turntable covers you see ready made on E-Bay for the same deck etc. So if you don't go for the above link Jo, look for a plastic/acrylic company close to you and get a price.

Very nice. Unfortunately they are too shallow in height.

What I like about this one is it's clear and doesn't have that bump over the end of the arm!

I also got one of those for one of my decks.
Very well made.
I don't think they will do a custom/one off for the height required as I have a feeling from the packaging that they are made in China.

Acrylic Lids are the bain of my life as is Granite. It is so hard getting someone to make a totally perfect lid as it it is getting someone to make you a totally precision cut, polished & edged Granite platforms.. I have succeeded in the Granite supplier but not the Acrylic lid supplier!

Im wanting a new lid because my original TT lid has fallen to pieces however ive been working on a Plinth like no one else has to sit the deck in, that will allow me to fit a side-less Acrylic cover, now how can anyone go wrong just bending me some acrylic, no sides? Nothing suprises me these days with the overwhelming un-proffessional so called trades mun abart

Andre - There are many many suppliers that will do both granite and acrylic to levels way beyond your requirements.

The tricky bit is getting it done for a reasonable price.

Any industrial or architectural model maker will do acrylic work to an opticaly clear/polished standard, I have had hundreds of complex shapes made for work. But for my own use, I would not want to pay the £50/hr + they charge for labour. I live in a sparcely populated area but there is one such model maker within a mile of my house.

As for granite any memorial stone mason will do simple polished and bevel edged slabs, its basic stuff for them, but again price is the limiting factor. I have a bespoke kitchen fitters about 8 miles from my place, they do marble and granite work tops, sinks etc and will do offcuts of various thicknesses cut to size on two sides, for a knocked down, by the square foot price, edge polishing and chamfering at small additional charge.

You must have something similar for the Acrylic in your area, just search the yellow pages. ;)

Ive sorted the Granite i found a company that precision cuts, Edges & polishes it to unbelievable top notch standards using Comandulli. Nothing is done by hand..

Im well happy with them..
