View Full Version : happy as a pig in......
so today ive removed my linn basik plus arm and replaced it with a rega rb300,i made an armboard from a linn lp 12 one my mate had spare.its slightly too thick but to get the AR up and running it will do till i get a custom ebony jobby from steve.also i damped the inner and outer platters with roofers flasing, bit like dynamat . very pleased with the over all results!!
Congrats! No surprise you like the Rega over the Basik -- it's a significantly better arm.
I am mostly a cable non-believer. But I strongly suggest you consider a re-wire for the Rega. Takes it to a whole new level.
Yes I've read that, along with the counter weight and structural mod.
ive just been reading that adding damping to a suspended turntable is a bit of a no no due to the platter then being out of balance possibly. what do you guys think?
i taken it off in the mean time to be safe.
regards.
