Hello all and thanks for letting me join.
Many years ago I bought a new A & R Cambridge A60 integrated amp to partner Ram 100 speakers and a Rega Planar 3 turntable. Subsequently the RP3 was replaced with a Linn Sondek and Royd Eden speakers ousted the Rams. I still use the A60 and Edens in a second system. I favour vinyl and cd replay. At the moment I have no interest in streaming.
Over the last 12 years or so I've been using various pieces of Naim kit and finished up with a CDS3 cd player, 282 pre amp and 250.2 power amp. Speakers included, Naim Intro, Allae, n-sat, Kudos C10 and later Super 10.
Last year I attended a Hi-Fi show organised by my dealer, 'Signals' of Bucklesham and that's when things all changed. I'd been very happy with the Naim electronics until I sat in on a demo run by John Dawson (A60 fame) of Arcam. On show was their newly released FMJ A49 integrated amp and CDS27 cd player/streamer. Speakers were PMC Fact 12. It soon become apparent to me that the A49 was something very special indeed. A home demo confirmed my preference for the Arcam amp together with a pair of PMC Twenty 23 speakers. The CDS3 unfortunately now seemed mismatched (synergy thing?) and was later replaced with a Rega cd player.
Current turntable (and most likely my last) is Rega RP8/Apheta.
I enjoy most genres of music although I'm not keen on rap or jazz.
