Hello everyone, I'm new here.
Since I have to talk about my me, my fav. Subject, here it is!
My Main Stereo is
Ortofon Cadezana Blue, which is getting on a bit, I'm watching the 'Once you go Black You won't Go back' thread with interest.
Orginlive Enterprise Arm 9"
Garrard 401 Turntable on a Aphelion (Sp?) plinth. And a Ringmat, eerr. mat.
Mitchell Iso +Hera Phono Stage.
Amplification is Quad 66 into a heavily modified Quad 303 into a pair of early 70s Quad electrostatics on Classique Sounds stands and Townshend supertweeters. I did have a pair of Quad IIs and I've tried other amplifiers, but there's something just right about the Quad 303/ESL combination. The Speaker cable is Russ Andrews XL Monocle-XL, which cost more second hand than the Quad 303.
Radio is Quad 66, which is alright, not as good as a Leak Troughline but not as fiddly. Cd is a Quad 67.
I find CD perfectly adequate, you know, for spoken word material, or at a push, light background music. :eyebrows:
Oh, and a Stax 404/SRM-006t which I'm ashamed to say I hardly ever use. And it on a hi-fi Rack, err hifi rack.
Music, ooh, where to start, I'm still missing John Peel, lets put it that way. Not much Classical, although I can tolerate Weber and Bartok. And (most) Jazz brings me out with a case of the screaming heeb-gees.
I've got too many records.
Oh, a photo?

Bonus marks if you can tell me what the picture disc is? It's not very typically 'Audiophile'
Bonus Audio recording on the above, pre and post a go on a Moth Record cleaning machine
