Is that vintage Sansui gear in the lower part of the cabinet? Looks a bit like it.

Yes that is/was Sansui gear au6900 and TU 666 but i sold them when I got my Mcintosh ( this picture was the night i unpacked the Mc gear) I do miss them though i still have a Sansui 661 receiver that i love. It will be used with a Thorens TD160 tt and it will drive Dynaco A25 speakers

A few weeks after I got back into Hi-Fi I started building my system.
My first good set up: Sansui AU6900 and a technics SL1700 I just got my Chartwells too

What is that silver stuff - it looks like Dynamat.

Hello Andrei, it's aluminum tape - the kind you use to seal A/C ducts, I used that to tape over the cork. They say that dynamat is too heavy and affects the suspension on the tt.

Is that a 3 legged record clamp ? never seen one of those before , can you pots a better photo and some details of the maker

sure its the EON record clamp http://www.vinylengine.com/library/eon-research/pod.shtml

I just added an old volume knob I had lying around. it works nice hold the record down the platter to help with suppression of sympathetic vibrations

one of the basses got badly damaged, so they were changed i still have one bass though - impossible to find

I would get the originals Re-done. The units should be bolted behind the baffle board not ontop..

Damn!! your right I never noticed that. I cannot find and other woofer, is there a place you can suggest in your neck of the world where i can find a bass?
