Really good head amps these. Geoff sold one a while back

I bought a few new old stock ones in the early eighties when everybody thought vinyl was dying. Got them from Denys Trickett's shop by the Edgware Road for a very attractive price (along with a nice Decca Blue and Denon DL-103). Lucky day that!

I bought one in 1979 with the Entre one cartridge but only used it a few times and finally gave it to a friend a few years ago.

Good plan!

All offers will be gratefully received. :)

-- it's up against a very nice sounding stepup anyway, so a loaner would be ideal! ;)

Looks like I've found a nice clean example from a Wammer. :)

Edit: yep, sorted and paid for.

Nice one, Jerry. It’ll be interesting to see what you think :)

Just be aware that because the Lentek is a (9V) battery-powered unit, you'll get a little (clean) hiss when the the volume’s turned up and there is no music signal, which is entirely normal and does not intrude on the sound when music is played.

Furthermore, ensure that the 9V battery inside is a Duracell, as (believe it or not) different makes of batteries sound different, and Duracells are generally the best - certainly it’s what the Lentek responds most positively to.

Also, the unit will sound its best only after being switched on for an hour or so, and once a few albums have been ‘processed' by the internal circuitry, so I wouldn’t form any definitive conclusions on the Lentek until all of the above has been considered and/or successfully attended to.

Good luck!

Marco.

Nice one - they last longer too, which is always a bonus! :)
