Ok so the time has come to move on what has been the heart of my system for the last 2 and a half years, I am selling due to moving to passive pre and monoblocks after much deliberation. My original private seller fell through so I'm offering it here. I've been very happy with this amp for a good while but the nature of this hobby is we hear new things and move on and there is always an itch to scratch.

Amp is fully working, no obvious scratches or dings, pictures may show up some finger smudges to the front due to its high gloss finish, excellent MM phono stage on input 1, sold with remote control, original packaging and mains lead. I'll also include a DIY lead I made from LAPP kabel, MK toughplug and Martin Kaiser Silver plated IEC. This lead was used with the amp and brought further improvements over the original lead so it seems only fair to include it in the sale.

I recently went past Lintone Audio in Gateshead and asked what they'd give me as trade in, in order to determine a fair selling price. They said £300 so thats what I'm asking, delivered in the UK. If it goes by local collection I'll deduct a tenner.

Of course anyone local is welcome to drop by for a cuppa and audition the amp in my system or bring whatever bits they want to try it with.

Payment by cash on collection, paypal gift or bank transfer please.

Feel free to PM if any questions.

Rich

Cheers Pete, I think it will too. Its been all the amp I've ever wanted for a good while but with my RS5s I now have the potential to explore biamping and monos. My eyes were opened to the possibilities when we tried Ali's 300b monos on my speakers at last NEBO and whilst I don't share some folks love of hot bottles I realised I could get more out of them than the Brio was offering.... and so the quest for nirvana starts all over again lol.

I'm keeping me DAC and speakers though, I bloody love em.

I'm always hearing good chat about this humble amp.

If I didn't have the lovely Sugden, I'd have snapped this!!

Good asking price!

Thanks Shane, I've priced it in the hope of a reasonably quick sale.

Veritable bargain, and I love mine - it's a real gutsy little thing that has great insight into the music. MM Phono isn't half bad either. Future classic indeed!

Hi Rich, hope you OK - I see your a having a bit of a clear out! I remember at NEBO you listening to Alis 300B's as you played the fabulous Agnes Obel through them. Valves do have a bit of magic mate:) Any ideas where your going with next system?

Hi James, all in good time. I've acquired a passive preamp and expecting a pair of monoblocks and a new phono stage in the next few weeks. The system is still in a state of flux so I wont say too much at this stage. It will centre around a modded sl1210 and my Rega DAC. Speakers are staying put.

As good as the 300b were I'm staying solid state until the lottery win comes and I can have one of Nick's fabulous phono stages and a pair of 300B
