Nice to check in here.
I'm a happy Cyrus sytem user curious about what other bits of kit might do for my listening pleasure, but also trying not the let a hi-fi arms race get in the way of enjoying the music.
I've been streaming happily for several years without being tempted back to CDs or vinyl, although I do miss flipping album covers. I've dipped my toe into home-spun album-cover albums to try to get past that, wonder if any other streaming fans feel the need for the same?
I seem to be buying almost exclusively classical music at the moment - a mix of contemporary, 20th Century and Baroque. Recently discovered CPE Bach, now mildly obsessed. Surprised to like Schubert's piano sonatas. Scarlatti the same. Britten violin concerto holds a special place for me.
But I have a big jazz library that I still dip into, and I like to change it up by rattle the neighbours with some kicking R&B now and again. Isn't that what the volume know is for?
