Hi there
I have a Marantz DV4003 that is soon going to be surplus to need (have BDP now and a CD incoming)
Problem with it is that when you load a CD and press close, it tends to just spit the disc back out again. This happens with pretty much every disc, and you can get round it either by frantically pressing the >> and or << buttons just after it closes, or sometimes maybe by pushing the closed door with your finger, when you can hear a small click like it is engaging properly... but yeah real annoying.
Anyone have any idea if this is going to be easily fixable if I open it up?
We are thinking of giving it to a friend who is in need of a new CD player (it actually plays CDs really well) or maybe if it is fully working, knocking it out on eBay and getting him a cheap but good eBay bargain CD player - if anyone has any good suggestions as to what to look out for on eBay in the under £50 range that would be great.
