Hello all
So there I was happily listening to the extended jam on All Things Must Pass, about ten minutes in, when suddenly my Project Carbon spun down. Dead. Nothing else went off. It didn't trip the board.
I've checked the fuse in the TT and I 'looks' ok (I don't have another one handy). Nothing is hot, and I've left it for long enough to cool. But still nothing. The power supply is sealed, so I can't see if there's a problem there.
So, in lieu of any other options this evening I thought I'd try another power supply. BUT, I don't have one exactly the same. As I know nothing about numbers on electrical things, I thought I'd throw this out there and see if anyone can tell me whether this is safe to plug in, just to see if the power supply is at fault.
Here is where the numbers differ:
Project: input 1.0 A Output +15V, 1.6A
my other one: input 0.8A, Output +12V, 2A
Is it safe to plug in briefly?
Simon
