Nad cd drawer sticking

My 30 year old nad 520 CD player drawer is sticking press open and sticks eventually comes out after pressing a dozen times ! Any ideas what I can do ?? I have can of wd40 in garage but is that to drastic ? Thankyou for your help

Possibly the drawer belt if it has one.. mine did different model. its a small belt beside the drawer and it wears out. I got a replacement from the states. was a little tricky to fit

I had one a few years back and fitted an elastic band which worked a treat.

I seem to remember it being a wiring tie under the mech! Belt will need changing all the same.. I used to buy all my CDP belts from Cricklewood Electronics

I had a NAD 521i that had the same problem.

I was going to throw it out when I moved house, but as a last resort I gave it couple of whacks on the side and hey presto!

30 years old ! Well you are going to have to open it up . Belt slipping or the mechanism grease gone a bit gooey. Good luck let us know what you find.

I've hit it on side and now working fine thankyou for the help it still sounds wonderful to me by the way do nad still make CD players ?
