hi everyone, just a quick post to show what i've done to my caiman, been fiddling about with this thing since i bought it off stan.
I first got in to diy electronics from when i bought my very first dac, a 7510 from stan. I was impressed, i've been in to hi-fi for a long time now drooling over what hi-fi and wishing i could have that, for years. Anyway made loads of mistakes time and time again, dodgy soldering and stuff.

Anyway here it is, even though i'm still tinkering with it. 13982

i use a maplin regulated power supply, but still looking at the battery option.

How's it sound? ABSOLUTALLY STUNNING

Often wonder how good it would be compared to the mk2 caiman

as you can see [ i hope ] this is full of black gates, silver mica, polystyrene and polycarbonate capacitors. It's cost me a small fortune lol

Great piece of work. Looking at the regulators alone, you certainly didn't spare the pennies.
