suppose this is no good ?

I had a Bryston BP25 for some years. It's very good ONLY if left powered I found, the sound being a little thin when used from cold. The 26 model significantly beefed up the power supply (which is retro-fittable to the 25, although not fully utilised) and apparently the sonics were better right from the off. The price doubled though, along with other Bryston/PMC products at the time I remember.
How many inputs do you have? If it's a simple system then a pro line driver would be ideal and with no 'audiophool baggage' to weigh it down. have a look at this -

The audiophool fraternity won't ever accept this, but a modern op-amp or two, properly supplied, can be an excellent and totally transparent line stage through which to pass music from a line level source. No 'attitude,' no 'character,' just an honest product IMO. Worth bearing in mind anyway :)
