hi all, ive been using a pioneer blu ray player as a cd transport with a caiman mk11 , i liked the results but the pioneer is annoying to use, unresponsive and when it does respond it takes an age and makes all sorts of noises :( a lack of rack space meant i had to go small, it makes the caiman mk11 look big:eek:1395313954, ive only just hooked it up so fingers crossed i like it, jim

hi, it seems a nice bit o kit, nicely made with a quality feel, initial impressions are good under its own steam though much better with the caiman, which is what id hoped for, the slot loader is a first for me but it works great,:)

When I need a new CD player, I will be looking at the RS model.

thats henry ,yorkshire terrier he was only 4 month old then, nearly 2yrs now, can be a little bugger:) no toslink, im using a mark grant coaxial and also have it hooked up to the amp with some basic van damme interconnects

The top loader, RS or DS... can't remember. But it looks smart!

heres the full system, somewhat compromised by speaker position:(13955 when i had my ushers out i ended up with the right speaker infront of the fire place, it just wasnt practical, so after a stint of headphones only and a soundbar, i ended up here. needless to say theres little in the way of stereo image and the listening area is rather narrow but theres detail and depth and its supprisingly weighty .oddly enough because i dont have to worry about speaker position i find it easier to just listen and enjoy:carrot:

I use a Pioneer PD-S703 with a Caiman and they make a nice noise.
Good ergonomically and all sorts of info from the display or turn it off

Oh no you can't have henry!! I almost bid on pioneer CD player but realised it wouldn't fit on my rack

had a bit of spare time today so i dissmantled my tv rack and got just enough space to turn my speakers the right way up:)13984 obviously this has made a huge improvement:lol:well not quite but it does sound better and looks better! will i have done any damage by having the speakers on their side for a few week? jim
