Thanks Rich, I almost feel like I'm cheating on my power amp, a trusty Quad 909 but I'm so happy right now and the Quad will go some way to paying off these wonderful actives. I've not tried other configurations yet but very happy. I'd like to try some DAC / pres such as the NAD M51 but more out of interest really. I'm also curious to try different DACs since my speakers should be more revealing to differences now. I think my main port of call though is now to try and tame the room acoustics as bass is pronounced now, passive is only a part option so a little EQ could be in order. Nothing concrete, just various options to try Oh and my sub is up for sale now....

The opals have an excellent rep. and are very nice looking too.
