What's best headphones under £25

Just want a comfortable pair of headphones to listen to omd kraftwerk etc lots on eBay etc are Sennheiser the best sounding ?? Thankyou for your help ps just for lounge and bedroom not outside

You not gonna get much for under £25. For Electronic music these are great, you can get them for around £35 if you shop abart..

I'm with Andre. You would be better off waiting until you can afford a bit more. The Sony phones look good but who knows if you will like the way they sound?

I use Sennheiser HD518s. They are bottom model of their 'goodish' range and you can get them for about £90 from Amazon. I think they sound OK but anything lesser would be a disappointment I feel, especially if you are used to good sounds from the hi-fi.

I do understand about budgets but reckon you need to pay a bit more if you can.

No you would need an extension only a 1.5mtr lead, they were not designed to have a long lead..honestly buddy the best phones you will get for that small outlay

This one may be a matter of taste. I just read a load of reviews and many of them suggest the bass is, shall we say, over enthusiastic. You may prefer something more balanced.

I'd second the HD 202s, though slightly over the £25 budget. The cable is very long, so would probably not need an extension.

There are probably better headphones, but not very many anywhere close to this price - even up to £100. I have a pair and also a set of HD201s, plus a more expensive Beyerdynamic set - which I like. I would agree with the others who recommend paying more than £100 for something better, but many of us don't have the money for that, or the time to enjoy such.

A decent headphone amplifier and/or DAC is a requirement, otherwise the money spent on expensive headphones will be wasted.

I can recommend the sennheiser hd 201s, especially if you are on a budget. They are cheaper than the 202s and from what I understand the 202s just have increased bass, which is not necessarily a good thing, but are otherwise the same as the 201s. The sound quality is not brilliant but certainly very good for the price. They also have a really long lead.

Yes they are rich and bassy, but musical. Given the budget I can't possibly think of better.
