Come on, own up. How many bits awaiting attention and part finished projects have you got laying about?

I'm as bad as anyone, I suppose. I have speaker projects here and there, waiting for me to get stuck into. An amplifier or two to sort out and two turntables I must get around to completing, as and when. The when being the thing.

I bet you all have loads. Spill the beans and confess here.

yes they did badly.

those b&o speakers i got need something done. may be xovers dunno but when i put them on there was a distinct lack of base.
alas they may never get fettled which is a shame as they look like they may be good.

other than that just got the yaqin to re bias

Well there's one job I can start this weekend.

Some veneer arrived today for my 45 year old Philips 9710 cabinets that have chunks missing. The enclosure walls are 12mm blockboard and will have to be beefed up, as I don't intend replacing the nice corner cabinets that look like smaller Tannoy Canterburys.

Mostly new projects rather than finish anything. As i intend to make a linear tracking tonearm quite soon, I will need to add suitable extensions to existing or build new plinths for one of the decks,

At some stage, I will probably redo the fronts and inner strengthening to my big old bitsa speakers too.

I do have important stuff to do like a new slot racing track and Ronnie tells me that a bathroom would be a good idea too:rolleyes:

I'd check the cap values and experiment with room positioning. Your B&Os are sealed cabs if I remember and may benefit from a bit of room reinforcement. I've found with some speakers it pays to keep stands pretty short and have the speakers tilted back silghtly, otherwise the bass can disappear a bit.

I'm afraid it is, if you intend on building or restoring something yourself (hence the thread title). It's a DIY project. What else can it be - unless you're employing someone to do the work for you? ;)
