Nice story about how a butcher in Perth has taken Scotland's national drink (or at least that of the Central Belt) to create a new sausage recipe.

Amazed it hasn't been done before!

Ha - good one, Hugo! When I read 'Scotland's national drink', my first thought was Irn Bru, but I should've guessed it was Bucky!

At least folk will actually eat those, as opposed to the fabled deep-fried Mars Bars......

You could have these on top of a deep fried pizza though?

You've obviously been to Glasgow! :D

I like them nice and 'oozey', so that when you press your fork in, all the oil they've been fried in leaks out, just like a big sponge... Yum, yum! :mental:

Glasgow nah, nothing compares to Scarborough for that deep fried stuff. Menu- deep fried mars bar, deep fried pizza etc, the one that got me was the deep fried jam sandwich.

Used to like deep fried pizza. :eyebrows: The guy that did mine was an Italian in Edinburgh and he always dipped the back and sides in batter and folded it first so it didnt get greasy. Trust me it worked and tasted superb.
