This was a prototype and is in super condition and sounds great. A couple of marks on top but dont show in the picture. nothing to worry about.
Not sure what these go for these days so how does £220 inc P&P

A superb Dac at a very sensible price, I am surprised you have not sold this already Grant... I am quite certain that nobody could buy a better Dac for the asking price... ;)

Thanks Bev. Thought it would go quick but so far no interest. think the single input puts folk off. If they heard it though .............;) only selling due to necessity although I am having second thoughts

It works superbly with a beresford async1(which I may be persuaded to sell with it) from a pc. synergy is very classy and beats my monarchy in that department tbh, so if it doesnt go I will continue to use it for the pc.

I can't belive you have not sold this superb Dac Grant.... Seriously £200 delivered is a bargain for a AN Dac...

Again as with the speakers no one is interested so will keep it. Its still in the rack anyways and in many ways outperforms the monarchy when paired with the little Beresford async1 Bev. Obviously the spirits don't want me to sell 'em so I better concede defeat to higher authority;)

is this deffo gone from sale Grant? i was just about to ask for a pic of inside before deciding wether to buy it.....

I did look at opening it but decided against it as was not sure how it opened. its not the standard zero box. in fact id say its better made. there is 4 hex on front and back but its not obvious how it opens as it looks snug on bottom and dont want force anything. thats why no innards were shot.
probably best i keep it as its the prototype and may not be exactly how the production model went out, and wouldnt want anyone thinking that its a pup which it isnt. Dicy reckoned AN said it was higher spec than production model.

Mine opens from the rear. The circuit board is actually attached to the back panel and slides out. You have to remove the front panel though, to disconnect the LED from the main board. :)

Sounds like a possible scenario Bernie. It doesn't need to be opened for me so I think I will just leave it. I'm one of those people who are happy to use dacs but don't need to see inside them:eek:

A real improvement can be had by swapping out the output caps for something decent Grant..

Thats always a plan for the future Ali. its sold stp to Darren but if not then i might do that or get it done if i dont fancy doing it myself... have to say it was sounding very nice yesterday when i connected it to the cd player. never used it with a good transport b4 as i always used it with the pc.
