Could someone take some pictures of the event, please, for the forum (nice close-ups of the kit being sold, etc)? Ta! :)

If I go, I'll have a camera with me. But that's just an 'if' at the moment.

Marco

Ok, dude, no worries. It’s just that I can’t rely on Adam to take any pics! :ner: ;)

Essentially, if anyone from AoS is going with a camera, then please take some pics of the event and post them here, as it makes the thread subsequently much more interesting to read :)

Marco.

Sorry, but I am far too busy chatting with the friendly attendees, drinking coffee and trying not to buy anything to have time for photography!

Anyway, does this mean that ONCE AGAIN, you're not coming? :ner:

It only takes a few minutes to take some quick snaps, lazy-arse!! :ner: :D

And yes, it’s always at the wrong time of the year (and too bloody far away) for me. Like I’ve said before, it’s about time the organisers acknowledged that life exists in the UK out with of southern-jessies land! :eyebrows:

The existance of life elsewhere is something many of us southern-jessies have speculated on for years. We arrange bi-annual vintage hifi fairs hoping for the chance of first contact but to date all has been in vain. :ner:

It’s ‘cos we’ve all disappeared to the pub! :eyebrows:

I've heard that tale too. Do you think there's anything in it? I mean there's so much uncharted territory north of Hatfield. Mind you I do have an old mate who's reputed to have come from a distant part of the world. Jordyland, I believe it was called.

Good turnout but what a sausagefest! First one for me and my chum but we'll definitely be back for more. Lots of goodies to be seen and I got an Alpha 7 cdp for twenty quid.

Picked up a lot more goodies than I usually do and all at bargain prices to boot.

There are some interesting ones on twitter:

Update: I think my 'interesting' was a little hasty. There is at least this one:

Thanks, Rob. That's the kind of thing I was looking for (although some close-ups of some of the kit would've been good) - not difficult or particularly time-consuming to have done, one would've thought. Surely someone from AoS has taken some snaps?

I'd certainly have done so, had I gone.

As an aside, I had a great sale, spoke to some very nice people and bought one LP, six cassettes and two power amplifiers!

The afternoon does quieten down a bit, but the youngsters (along with the F1 drivers and the Swedish ladies beach-volleyball team) were all there in the morning when the bargains were to be had ;). The blurry Arkwright look-alike (specs, brown coat) under the banner is me, by the way.

F1 drivers? Do you mean the bloke with a shopping trolley full of ancient radios? Dangerous driver that.

Valvebloke

Not nearly as dangerous as the guy with the cheap 'collapsible' sack truck piled so high that it was shedding his items like a Christmas tree shedding needles. I made a mental note not to buy anything deformable from his stall.
