Hi

Has anybody got any of these knocking around they would like to sell.
I am still trying to get my mdac I sound right into the croft integrated. ECC82 gives me dynamics but does not sound right. All other valves are lacking in some other way. Hopefully attenuation will sort it out.

Regards
Howard.

Are you getting distortion or a shouty/loud sort of sound? - If so then attenuation could be the ticket. What voltage does the mdac output?

Yes distortion seems dependant on the volume position on the croft. You could say it is shouty also. It can be very in your face with certain songs. It's flat and bright with the ECC83 and 5751
Voltage is 2.25

Cheers

Yeah... I had that too. Attenuators did work.

One thing I forgot to say. The best thing to do is to send the 25 back to Glenn so he can reduce the gain. I had mine done and sold the attenuators. That is a common problem with the 25 for some. It won't cost much either and it's much better than using attenuators.

Can I ask how much attenuation you had?

Mine is the integrated but may be the same. Somebody is selling XLR -20db on ebay specifically for Mdac. Maybe I need that much. Rothwell say -10 will suit most

Cheers

Thank you but I think I will need a little more than that

Howard.
