Decided that this is my main system, KEF LS50's and Cyrus 8DAC were sold this morning to a neighbour of all people haha :)

I sit at my desk all day, every day more or less (my own business) so wanted to get to as good a standard as possible for not a lot of £££... Thank god for eBay and items ending at daft times ;)

System is as in pic below:

NAD C352 integrated amp
Monitor Audio RX1 speakers on RoXdon isolation blocks
Music via my 2012 quad-core Mac Mini, iTunes, optical out into a FiiO D3 DAC
Chord Carnival Silverscreen speaker cable, Chord CrimsonPlus interconnects

Hi Dan,
that looks like a very nice setup.
I've just bought myself a couple of Sonos Play 1 active speakers. It's perfect for me as everything is self-contained and takes up only a tiny bit more space than the original PC speakers I had on the desk.
The only (slight) downside is that the Sonos doesn't play 96Khz FLACs, but I can live with that.

I looked into Sonos, my pals got a few 1's in his living room but I decided against them

Much prefer the separates route, more to fiddle with :D

I use both those Chord cables you mention. Jolly good for such a low outlay..

Absolutely!

I started a war over on PFM re them up against the QED cables I had beforehand...

Had the QED cables for years and they're great but the Chord just adds improvement to them that I could hear instantly!

I may change the amp again yet, still hankering after a Cyrus as a) I love their sound and b) they're a lot smaller than the tank of a NAD I've got but struggling to find an 8vs2... There is a 6XP on eBay currently but not sure they'll drive the RX1's as well as they deserve!

I wouldn't get any work done in that case :D
