I'm putting together a music system in another room so I don't have to compete with the stereo for the TV.
It's not done yet, but this is what I have thus far. Next order of business is a turntable and a SACD player. Gear is coming very slowly, because it takes a long time to find decent used gear at a resale shop, because money is tight.
This is what I have so far. It's not done yet, but I still wanted to post what I have now.

Denon DRA397 receiver, Mission 761i speakers, Directed HD tuner, Target Audio stands, Kimber Kable wire

I wondered what it meant too. I'm guessing shops like 'Cash Converters'.

I have got a lot of good stuff over the last couple of years from these type of shops and not had a problem with any of the kit I bought

Here in the US we refer to them as resale (as in selling preowned goods). The most common here are Salvation Army, Goodwill, and Habitat for Humanities Restore.

Yes I actually moved them further apart and toed them in a bit too. Until I got the Missions I was using Polk Audio bipole/dipole surround speakers so it didn't matter much.

I'm guessing Cash Converters is similar to a Pawn Shop here. They are typically over priced for me.

Looked today but didn't find a tt. This is going to be a hard one to locate.

Here is a photo w/ speakers a bit wider, though it's hard to tell.

Denon DRA397 is similar to the UK's Denon DRA500AE.

Close up of Missions breaking in nicely after a long time of unuse. They are becoming sweet and airy sounding.

Nice system coming together there. I do like a Target stand and have a thing for Mission gear having been born in the same town.

It's a second hand shop. Mainly electronic and gun stuff over there I understand.
There is a very good one in Cambridge, England called Cambridge Resale. Don't be fooled by the crappy website, they've lots of goodies.
