Monarchy 22a and Digital Interface Processor (DIP) for sale. The DAC is in superb condition and perfect working order. The DIP has 3 marks (more like faint stains) where something with foam feet once stood on it. It came to me that way, but never bothered me as it's supposed to be out of sight anyway.

I seem to recall that the DIP was only working through the optical input when feefallrob here had it on loan, so I will check all that out. It might be something as simple as a dirty selector switch. I'm pricing it accordingly and basically including the DIP for free.

Price for the DAC then £200 with the DIP included. Shipping £10 or collection welcome. Make no mistake, this is a very good DAC.

This is the first one Grant. The second slightly later one was the 24/96. Not exactly sure what the sampling rate of this is, but I can tell you it sounds good and makes a huge positive difference to a stan alone spinner.

Absolute bargain. I know what these DACs sound like (and how much they usually sell for). They're superb.

I was using Theta DACs then went to a Monarchy. Even better.

Have you got the Coax working yet?

To be clear, it's the coax into the DIP that's questionable. Coax into the DAC is perfect. I'll check it out when I get a minute though Grant, as it'd be ace if it's all perfect. Be aware though, if it's perfect, it aint gonna stay free.:D

I believe the original DIP sampling rate is 24/48 ;)

I thought you had an Audio Alchemy? The M22 will run circles around either in any case.

What digital interconnect are you using?

the dac has been on all night and it is certainly better for it. no on off switch so i take it this is how its supposed to be left. agin my principles mind

I'd not be inclined to leave it (or anything else) permanently on.

Is the DIP functioning OK? It's a good bit of kit.

the dip is working using a toslink in. not tried it with spdif coax in yet. coax then out to dac. there are no power switches a!d it says on it to connect to a non switched socket so i presume it is supposed to be left on unless it is not to be used for a time. it certainly sounds better this morning than yesterday when it was only on for a couple of hrs. very musical yet detailed. (a difficult thing to achieve for a digi component).
