Tonight I picked-up a couple of Kef T27 dome tweeters. In the post they had got a bit of a knock resulting in the domes being pushed in. I was thinking about trying a vacuum cleaner, but didn't want to bother my sister.

I than had a bit if a Eureka! moment. Why not try sucking them out? And it worked! And no signs of any damage.

Quite chuffed. Pity they don't work.

Lucky lad. Probably because they are thin Mellinex (cellophane).

Just goes to show. A bit of careful sucking can get things stiff and properly erect. :thumbsup:

Well, looking on the internet I find I cannot claim originality. Others have also had the idea.

Done it myself. Recently pulled out the centre dome of a KLH cone tweeter the same way.

I tend to use either a drinking straw to try and suck out small dints or sticky tape. Never, ever be tempted to use a vacuum cleaner!!! (not unless you really want to buy a new set of tweeters that is)
