I was familiar with the concept of how Sonab speakers differed from conventional speakers, but was very keen to try this out for myself - I was genuinely impressed with the results. Being omnidirectional, they interact with the room, projecting sound using room boundaries to project a realistic soundstage. They are also incredibly detailed, possessing great presence, pace and a natural tone. Although a very compact design, the bass is impressive as well.

Each speaker features an Alnico Philips 9710 full range driver (alone worth more than the asking price here) and three Peerless cone tweeters. The cabinets are real Teak veneer and they are completely original.

These speakers rarely come up for sale - for good reason - and work very well in modern interiors. They were very expensive when new. I am looking circa £160 for them and reckon they will only appeal to folk local to me.

Please feel free to ask any questions and I will try to answer.

Just to add, if someone was interested in the Philips 9710 drivers alone, I might be prepared to split. Please pm me to discuss.

Sadly not - but I think I spotted OA14s in a large sales thread over on the 'Wam by a guy selling his late father's collection.

Offers invited on the OA4s / Philips 9710s.
