I have currently Monitor Audio speaks as mentioned in my signature.

I have the opportunity to trade for Castle Kendal speaks.

No chance to a-b so I'd appreciate your opinions folks.

I vote MA.

Castle made some crackers but the Kendal's were not one of them, others will doubtless disagree :)

You refering to 1970's 'Kendal' or the New Castle companies floorstanders 'Kendal'?

The original 'Kendal' stand mounts were actually the precursor to the 'Pembroke'

One of the best modern Castle speakers was the Richmond IIIi... They were qwality.

Thanks guys that pretty confirms my thoughts although I was mighty tempted. This all springs from my need for some smaller and/or less sensitive speaks.

Missed your reply Andr'e - I was referring to the modern floorstander. The only pre 90's models I've heard are Richmond I, Durham & Conway II.

They do look useful indeed. Certainly not smaller but now you've got me thinking.
