Morning all,
I've decided it's time to replenish my crumbling hi fi and therefore time to learn from the audio wisdom of this community.
I've had quite a bit of kit over the years, nothing too special or high end, but the occasional bit of kit that I was very fond of. I have good ears (worked in the music biz for many years) but technically I'm a complete halfwit (I'm not sure you can be completely half something, but hey, you know what I mean :)). I do enjoy reading about technical stuff occasionally though, with a vacuous grin on my face, somewhat like a dog being shown a card trick. I intend to assemble a system which is affordable but well matched. The system will be based around vinyl mostly, and CDs secondly. Musical tastes are Reggae/ Dub and Rock, with a little Classical & Jazz. I have some ideas for a new setup which I will post in the relevant area and would welcome comments. Thanking you all in advance for your time.

Thanks Geoff! Wow, that was a quick welcome, cheers. I'm about to post asking members for some advice on assembling a basic system but not sure exactly which forum that belongs in...should I post in Blank Canvas, do you think? Thanks.
Kevin

welcome to AoS Kevin. sorry for delay. yes blank canvas would be likely best. You should give an idea on what your looking for new or used and price. the type of music to be played and what kind of sound you like if possible. sure there will be plenty of the knowlegeable ones along to assist. Enjoy the forum
