Guys,

I’m considering selling my SPU Royal, in order to dabble in other weird and wonderful areas of the cartridge market, so therefore would like to gauge any interest amongst members in buying this rather fine cartridge.

It was bought brand new by me in October 2012, for £1250, and is still in the same mint condition, with all the original packaging, which itself is mint. The stylus is in perfect condition, with bags of life still left in it (I have numerous different cartridges, and swap between them regularly, so the SPU hasn’t always been in use since I bought it).

Those of you who know me will know that I also keep my records in totally mint condition, so the cartridge has only ever played such - never anything scratched or dirty. Therefore this is someone’s IDEAL OPPORTUNITY to obtain a minty-mint top-of-the-range SPU for a *very* good price, if you talk nicely to me! ;)

Initially, I’m going to open the sale, requesting for sensible offers, but if none are forthcoming, a firm price will be stated for a set period of time, before the cartridge goes on ebay, should no-one buy it here.

I bet that sounds gorgeous. I had a sixties SPU and that was really lovely.

What will you get next Marco? A ZYX Omega S might suit. :)

Sorry for the late response - been rather busy with one thing and another.

Not sure what I’m getting yet, but it’ll be something suitably ‘left field’ - watch this space! :cool:

Marco, why not have a chat with Paul (RFC). He imports some fine MCs and he may have an interesting 'loaner' or two that could be tried.

Ah, I see. Should be interesting.

Apart from the Tannoys the only vintage things I get involved with these days seem to be women. :eek:
