After my pre-move sales (and then moving house), this is the start of the 'lets not stick it back in the loft forever sale':
A set of Mordaunt Short Carnival Series 2 bookshelf speakers. I know that the larger versions from the family are held in some regard on here so I thought I'd try listing these.
Fully working and generally in very good order. One of them is missing the metal trim plate from the front sadly. The bottoms of the cabinets are rather scratched but all the visible surfaces are pretty good after a polish up.
Drivers are all excellent.
Sat here listening to London Grammar on them now and for their age and small size, they are quite surprisingly capable. Size limits deep bass of course but sticking them against the wall would probably help. They are making Hannah sound very nice indeed though - vocals are very clear without being shouty. Nice lively little things. They also win the 'biggest driver to cabinet volume ratio' prize in my collection.
Collection preferred from just outside Bicester (M40, J9) but I would consider posting at shared risk and buyers cost if need be (although I'll need to find some packaging).
Anyone fancy them for about £40?
