Hi,

I'm looking for a TT, had one in my sights but unfortunately it didn't work out.

I have a budget of £500.

I would like to use my Linn Adikt cart so something with a Linn arm or an arm that it would fit without having to file the alignment thingys off would be preferred.

Postage is essential.

Cheers

Rich

I have a very nice CJ Walker turntable, with a Mission 774 arm ... very nice all round, if interested. I had been thinking of putting it up complete with a Nagaoka MP100 cartridge for something around the £240 mark, so how about £200? It's just had a belt and works really nicely.

I'm planning a trip to Bristol at some point soon either next weekend or the one after.

Is it a 'CJ55' {Tufnol Platter/Full length armboard/Four point suspension}?

Yup, that's the one. Lovely wood. No lid unless I can find it in the garage but it's in very nice nick.

Thanks for the replies, I had a friend that had a CJ Walker TT and he spoke highly of it, but after thinking about it I am going to up my budget to £500 and try to pick something up that will last me a good few years, if I am going to buy something I might as well buy the best I can.

Well if you can move on from the Adikt my Techie will certainly last a while :-)

Very nice!

Thanks Geoff, t not only looks the part, it sounds it too. Alas I may have to reduce so it may go on market. Not sure what price yet mind lol. Think it won the best tt under a grand title, and it has low hrs and is perfect.

There's a super-cheap Roksan Radius 5 with Nima arm and good Goldring cart for sale on PFM that might suit you perfectly. A total snip that frankly should have sold an age ago. I'd strongly recommend it as an SRM alternative.

Now waiting for my new (well, new to me) Rega RP6 with Exact to arrive.

It's like waiting for Christmas when I was a child :)

Nice - where did you get it from if you don't mind me asking? Was it the Glasgow one on the 'bay?

It was from Scotland on Ebay, but not Glasgow. It looks absolutely mint in the pics.

Yes my bad - it was the same one, I'd been watching that but not in a position to buy just yet. It does look immaculate and a good deal. I'd be very interested in hearing your thoughts on it when you've got it up and running - enjoy!

I shall let you know, I'm looking forward to getting it in the system, I think a phonostage might be next on the shopping list.
