Biting the bullet! I have rarely played my LPs for.....15+ years!
My lovely Rock needs a better home! In a fit of Tom Evans induced enthusiasm, recently, I got an Origin Live wired Rega RB 300 arm and (Tom advised!) Denon 304 cartridge.
But the reality was that I STILL didn't play LPs!
Maybe my suspended-from-ceiling listening chair deters movement, once in it!
The Rock is unique in that it has been painted with a 'Mural'; well, decorated with multi-coats of gloss and some (subtle!) glitter plus....well, look at the pics.
Max T liked it!
A nice change from boring black that everything seemed to be, I thought.
The Rock comes with it's matching 'Merlin' separate Power supply -an expensive extra! -, a new belt, the arm and cartridge are pretty well new.
Oh, and when I got the arm, I] bought a O-L height adjuster fitment too.
The Wood case is in perfect condition and, the Perspex cover has ALWAYS! been covered when not in use, so scratch-free!
Probably the best example available?
Asking £900. I'm in Bristol, so a visit to the upcoming Bristol Show could include collection.
I do have the boxes, but am not going to risk any Couriers! (Bad experiences deter!)
May try taking better lit pics soon,so ask if interested.

Yes better lighting is a must here, being honest your photos don't really show the item of very well. Hate to say it but the murals may put some off, collectors tend to want items in original condition.

Good luck with the sale

Sez a Dalek with gold rivets! (-:
I wasn't worried about re-sale value when I had the paint job done, just had a very proficient friend and it was a vast improvement on the dull blackness of hi-fi!
Max T had fancied doing colours, he said, but 'tooling' etc., though I recall Rega did different colours on their decks?
The Rock certainly attracts comments! Of the 'Wow!' variety!
Will get some lights arranged for pics soon......bit dim in my lair!

Thanks Jerry.....

I like your listening chair. Very chilled.

Chair? Nice 60s thing, isn't it. Had it re-covered recently-or re-slung anyway.
Made playing LPs awkward, having to crawl out every 15/20 mins to change sides!
The glories of a remote/iTunes!

What a gorgeous deck - Max's kit always sounds great but is often challenged in the looks department (Glastonbury speakers anyone?) this really lifts it into something special.

Love the chair too.

Still gleaming in sunshine here.....!
The 'sparkles', aka glitter don't really show well on the pictures-much better in reality.

Brighten up your hi-fi!

WEll, my"Consider it sold if that ok with you I will defiantly have it." sale person (Michael Bambury, it's you!) has gone incommunicado despite several 'mails, over 2 months!.... so I guess trusting peoples word-again! is a sign of my being 'old fashioned?
It's a rare beast and not cheap, I know. Still here, now for Fathers Day!

As I mentioned - I've had two 'serious' offers for this lovely sounding -and looking! -thing, that just disappeared into the ether.
Not the usual friendly activity you expect from AOS dwellers!
So, the Rock is still here, if anyone is looking for a 'Final solution' to getting great music from their vinyl.
Would love to think it will go to an appreciative home. Delivery possible by arrangement.

Price reduction: was £900, now £800!
Arm + cartridge cost that!

Still carefully covered........

Ocellia Calliope speakers soon, maybe......if Jonjin will let me!

Not on in my view.

There is a feedback section in the forum re buyers and sellers and as I did with a bad experience trying to buy - awhile back - I outed the tosser. My view is that things can change, but you should keep folks informed rather than leaving them hanging on a promise. So if you say you will buy it, either follow through or tell the seller you have to renege on the promise and tell them why, and as soon as possible.

Hope you get a sale sooner rather than later.

If you're ever down 'ere in the hippy S-west, get in touch!
Deck now reduced to £750 (which is more or less what the arm and cartridge cost alone!)
