I'm looking for a cable: ipod dock connection end of cable -to- stereo connections on amp. Bought one recently hellishly expensive but have lost source. Ideally; looking for one sensibly priced.
Any suggestions appreciated.

Something a bit more "audiophile"

I bought a Cambridge audio ipod dock from richers for £10 a while back, it had standard RCA's on it.

Me too but I think they have put the price up to £20 since then.

Mike. Yep, that sort of thing but longer and better quality. Trailer, yes but with RCAs on the other end. Steve who / where is 'richers' ? I have been told that these have to be made to order. Surprising. I have trawled the web to find the item. Assumed it would be common.

Scroll down the page a bit.

Edit:

Oops. They don't. Sorry. I'm pretty sure they would make one up for you though. Flashback are good to deal with.

Dave C The cable I recently bought from one of the better known providers on the scene cost over £60 for a metre long as, I was told, they have to be made to order but cannot remember who it was, not that I'd want to go back there.
Must be a source somewhere.

See my edit

Just a quick word an iPod cable may not work with an iPod/iTouch as the pin outs are different. If you want to use it on an iPod/iTouch check with the vendor first that it is compatible.

The other option is to use something like this

http://www.ibasso.com/en/products/show.asp?ID=38

and supply your own cable.

Hmmm... there seems to be plenty around with a 3.5mm jack at the iPod end, but not with that connector for the dock.

Mike. Sound is far superior from that end. Poor from 3.5 end

Hi Peter H,
For "richers" read "Richer Sounds" (make one word of it and put .com on the end to see their web page or Google it) - unless you live out in the woods or hills somewhere there's bound to be a branch within a days drive :) .
