you need to put some o-rings around the bottom of the platter to hide those horrible holes!

Are they holes or are they something being reflected by the platter?

Never mind the Lenco Rob I love the look of those horns :drool::drool:... what are they ?

The horns are Oris 150's in BD Ref 2010 cabs with BD15 drivers,tops are Oris 250's with Voxativ field coils got a couple of big tapped horns for the bass

That's really nice looking. Be interested in some details of the build as I've built a few myself and intend building some more.
Mine always sound great but look crap:lol:
Take it there is some form of isolation between the top and bottom platters & possibly the rack?
Myself I stand the motor of the lower plinth, which I think makes them near silent in operation.

A 'L70' platter does not have those balancing holes.

cheers guys it is a L75 platter and will be getting one of David's damping rings when funds permit. :)
Each plinth is 25mm ply - 3mm lead - 25mm ply - 6mm Acoustiblok on the base.
The turntable plinth sits on thrust pads attached to a nifty levelling solution.
Last bit of turning this week for the s/s columns and its pretty much done !

Would like to mount a second arm,what do think would be a good choice currently has a Fidelity Research Fr24

Found your build thread on the Wam, impressive to say the least.

A mate made me damping rings from heavy rubber belting that he found at work.
Almost the prefect size, cut to slightly less than the circumference and super glued
together, works a treat.
Even takes spray paint well.
