View Full Version : Proac Response D18
Has anybody used these?
Proac state 20W power minimum but how much do you need to get the best out of them?
Good speakers, but 20wpc will struggle to get the best from them.
They're not a difficult load but not especially sensitive either. They do respond well with more like 50wpc or more through them though. At 20w you're going to be into clipping if playing bass heavy material anything like loud in a medium/large space.

What Paul has said, l have owned several pairs of ProAcs and they need powerful amplifiers.

Strange! So why do Sugden highly recommend ProAc for their amps then?
S.
I don't have 20W.
I have a bit more. I am not sure how powerful they are, but the Graham Slee are conservatively rated at 26W.

To sell more amplifiers?;) l believe that Sugden are more powerfull than their ratings may suggest.
