Hi. My system consists of a Cyrus 2 with PSX, technics sl1600 deck, cambridge audio azur 540c and celestion ditton 25's. Currently trying to get the best out of the dittons. They are stood on the floor at the moment but will be on the lookout for stands. They sound great with some music such as The Doors, First Aid Kit, Leftfield (particularly good) from both cd and vinyl source. Then I stick something a bit raucous on Killing joke, Stooges ,Damned and it all sounds a bit harsh and messy, kind of blends together and quickly becomes unlistenable. Have tried moving speakers away from wall but no difference. Any advice would be appreciated.

Recently acquired ditton 25's. They are in stunning condition,to look at, problem is that even though some music sounds great from both vinyl and cd ( Doors, First Aid Kit, Leftfield) if I then pop on some punk, Damned, Stooges, killing joke etc, it all sounds very muddled, harsh and unlistenable. Have tried moving speakers away from wall but no difference. I'm gonna look for some stands see if that makes a difference. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My lad has just bought a cyrus x and power supply, he uses yam ns1000 speakers

Unfortunatly his sounds very similar to what you are describing it also sounds very bassy, when you listen every track has a similar bass sound, that i know is not really the recording

Now i know its not the speakers with his system

Hmm interesting. I may ask my friend if I can try his cyrus 1 to see if there's any difference
