I am parting with these lovely Audion 300B Silver Night 24w push-pull monoblocks. These are the Mark 1 version with volume control so can be used direct with a single source, choice of 2, 4, 8 ohm speaker binding posts, lovely "gold" finish etc.

I bought these from Tom (Montesquieu) about 2 and a half years ago to scratch the 300B itch with my LVs.

They come with a quad of EH Gold Grids plus two spare EH Gold Grid valves. I believe the quad were new just before I bought the amps and they were serviced/given the once over prior to me receiving them.

Tom had been using these with Jan Philips 6922s and 5687s. I preferred them with Amperex ECC88s (boxed - Bugle boys I believe - they're a bit smudged) and Raytheon 5687s. I'll include all these valves and another spare pair of Jan Philips 5687s, so that should keep someone going for a number of years.

I think the pictures speak for themselves - they look fantastic and sound great too. They have some minor wear but given their age are in very good condition.

I am looking for £1000 for these beauties.

Postage is not an option but I am happy to meet up within a reasonable distance - I am based near Stourbridge in the West Midlands.

These were really nice when I had them, I had two pairs of Audion mono blocks for use with an active crossover on my Tannoy 15in Monitor Gold GRFs but in the end preferred the standard passive crossover. They pair very nicely with vintage Tannoys but being push pull also with Quad ESLs.

Wow!
Having their little brother in SET, I can vouch for these. They WILL indeed make someone really happy (especially with some vintage Tannoy Dual Concentrics! as Tom said)

GLWTS!

And forgot to add, yes the valves were new and the amps serviced by John Caswell just before I sold them (nothing major just the valves and a coupe of out of spec components replaced).

Thanks for the confirmation comments Tom, I thought that's what you had said!

They drive LVs quite nicely as well. I ran them with the volume setting at 12 o' clock (half way) via my EAR 802 pre-amp and they had more than enough oomph to fill the room/house with music. I also ran them briefly directly from my Squeezebox whilst my pre-amp was away for servicing and again there was no lack of power there.
