Hi All,

This is breaking news from CES that is running at the moment in Las Vegas but I thought I would mention it now and update later as more information becomes available.

Today Audeze are due to announce 2 new Planar headphones to join their outstanding LCD lineup of headphones, called the EL-8 headphones they will come in an open and closed back version, will use a new planar technology designed by NASA called Fluxor and have had a helping hand in the look of the headphone by BMW Cars of all people.

Price is to be confirmed but I’m guessing that it will be between £500-£600.

Hi All,

One more bit of major news from this years CES announced this week, along with their range of excellent headphones Audeze are now entering the Headphone Amplifier arena with their new Deckard Headphone amp, it certainly seems well equipped for the price, $699 announced for the US, it is a Class A design with a USB DAC onboard capable of 16 to 32-bits and sampling rates from 44.1kHz to 384kHz + it has one RCA input, it also has 3 gain settings and can be used as a line level pre-amp, so it certainly offer plenty of features for the money.

We have no price or release information yet but I would expect it to come in between £500-£600, all being well we should be getting the new Audeze EL-8 headphones around mid March so hopefully it will be around the same time.

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick post as I have just had confirmation come through regarding the price and availability of the new Audeze EL-8 open and closed back headphones that we have had a lot of interest in, basically both versions of EL-8 will be £599, Audeze’s new Headphone amplifier, The Deckard, is also priced at £599.

As I said we have had a lot of interest in these headphones so we are now taking pre-orders to guarantee delivery from the first shipment into the UK which is due around mid March and is sure to sell out very quickly indeed. If you would like to get to the front of the queue then we would just need £100 deposit to secure your EL-8’s.

We have placed our order for our demo models so keep an eye out as I will blog once we have them with some initial impressions -
