Dunno what the company is, although Q Acoustics are down that way. Might not be your speakers though. Try taking them to your mates house and see what they sound like there.

Opposite way around for me. On the rare occasion I have to endure somebody else's idea of 'a good sound' and then get home and listen to my system. I just breathe a sigh of relief and satisfaction (no, not smug, I just have a really nice sounding system).

It may not be just down to the speakers. Is the rest of his kit the same as yours?

I can think of four speaker systems that I've heard in the last year that I'd love to have in my house. If I had the space and the funds. In all cases they are horn speakers - Cessaro Liszt , Avantgarde Trio, Avantgarde Duo, and Tune Audio Animas.

I can't say that I've come home thinking mine sounds crap, just I'd prefer the other much more expensive speakers :-). Overall, I'm pretty pleased with my system. With the right music, it gets the hairs on the back of my neck and arms going, so it's doing its job. I would like to change the speakers some time (probably 2017 at the earliest). As usual there are conflicting priorities: extending the house, a new car or speakers...oh and being able to pay the bills...And it's all dependent on getting enough work.

I thought those were Harbeths from the port shape. Very nice speakers Harbeths, your Pageant IIs may be pleasant, but they won't match these.

(I'll move this little chat to the Blank Canvas area shortly)

They are Harbeth C7ES2 or C7ES3. They, basically, look the same, just the cone material and crossover is different. Either way, they are excellent speakers.

They are not C7ES2 as the port on my ones are round in shape, any road they are great speakers and a nice hound there Sir.
