Good afternoon everyone!
After the festive season, surely everyone has got some new years resolution. One of mine is to thin down my collection of speakers!
So here we have a lovely pair of SNELL type K Mk.1 speakers from around the mid 90's.

Both grilles are intact and tight still. The picture shows a little whitening of the material, but the integrity is still total. The cabinets are still in VG+ condition. Some tiny scuff marks on a few edges, but no knocks or dings.

They are black finish and weight a hefty 24 kilogrammes a pair! They are super strudy speakers and will require some proper stands.
they are basically the inspiration behind the current range of Audio Note speakers. These would be the smallest of the range. but don't be fooled. They do create a fantastic sound! and they will happily fill up a small to medium room with lushness and details!

Consecutive serial numbers as shown above. They are AFAIK entirely untouched from original. I bought them from Rich (Gromit) about a year ago. They do work very well with valve amplifier in a small to medium sized room. As recommended by Audio Note, position them in the corner of your room to boost the bass response. They offer a very lucid and balanced presentation. Great mids with valves!
I have used them with Icon Audio stereo 40, Yarland 845 and Silver Night 300B. Push Pull, Triode mode, SET. That kind of covers any kind of topology... Check out online, they do have a little bit of a cult about them.

Crossover frequency: 2.7kHz, third-order slopes. Frequency response (measured in an anechoic chamber and corrected for half-space): 70–20kHz ±2dB. Sensitivity: 90dB 1W/1m (anechoic). Recommended amplifier power: 10–100W. Nominal impedance: 6 ohms.
Dimensions: 11" W by 18" H by 9" D. Shipping weight: 52 lbs/pair.
Finish: matched grain, hand-sanded and -oiled pairs in black-finished veneer, with black grille cloth.
Ok, so they can be yours for £250, basically what I paid for them. UK only sale, collection only from SW London, I can't ship them as I don't have any original packaging. Happy to take cash or Paypal (gift) to save on fees.
PM if you require more infos.
Thank you!
PS. sorry for the slightly blurry pictures. Hopefully with the funds I will be able to buy a decent phone! ;-)
