Hi everybody , I have a second hand Quad 33/303 set up which I have had for 10 years ( serviced by Quad 3 years ago) Just before Xmas I purchased a Net Audio full upgrade for the 33. I had been putting off installing as I am more used to using a lump hammer rather than a soldering iron. So new years day was install day. I took my time and all went well with the switch on. I just have a loud pop when switching on and off which was not there before the install, so I may have done something wrong. Any ideas on this would be welcome.
The idea of the upgrade was to power 2 303's as I want to power a pair of passive bass units which I will build .
Regards Mark

Welcome Mark. Hope you enjoy the forum. This area is for introducing yourself and telling us about your musical tastes and equipment etc. Your question would be best asked in blank canvass for instance and would attract many more hits resulting in an answer for you quicker.:)

cheers Grant

+1.

Welcome, Mark! However, in an introduction we’d like to know more about YOU, your system and your music tastes. The other stuff is for the main forum :)

I know Melton Mowbray rather well, as Scalford Hall is a popular venue round here for members demonstrating their systems. You’ve also got a cracking Chinese restaurant in the main street, but can’t remember its name! Jasmine House, perhaps?

Hi Mark. Welcome to AOS from me too.

If you're concerned about your Quad, start a new thread here: http://theartofsound.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?16-Blank-Canvas

Then ask your questions. I'm sure you'll get plenty of advice. There are loads of Quad users on here.

You didn't say what speakers you're trying the amp with. That may help.

As the others said, tell us a bit more about yourself.

Enjoy the forum,
Geoff.

Welcome to AoS Mark,

Sorry to learn of your difficulties with the NET upgrades to your Quad 33 preamp. In the first instance I would e-mail NET Audio, explaining in detail the problems you are experiencing. I'm sure they will be able to help. I believe we have some members here who have fitted the NET upgrades to their 33s, so I expect they might be able to help as well.

What is the rest of your system - source and speakers? And what are your musical tastes?

Welcome again

Regards
Barry
