Hi, my name is Pete and it's nice to be here at last. Took me a while to introduce myself and I have finally overcome my shyness :)
I have been a long time audio enthusiast starting very young when I was still at school and built my first kit turntable which I bought in Tottenham Court Road back in the late 70s. It was a Connoisseur BD1 if memory serves me right.
I suffered from the upgade bug for many years which had the side effect drain me of all my money so when I got married it came to an abrupt end!
My musical tastes are fairly catholic, and encompass a wide range of periods and genres. As long as the music is engaging and I can connect to it then I love it!
My current system consists of a mixture of equipment gathered through different epochs and can still produce a good and engaging sound.
Turntable is Linn LP12, LVII and Troika
Pre-amp - Need to get one probably Croft
CD Player - Marantz 63 KI Signature (a bit knackered)
Digital source: Logitech squeezebox touch
DAC: Beresford Caiman
Amp: Bill Beard BB100
Speakers: Linn Keiliths
Pictures to follow soon as everything is in storage waiting for move into new flat.
And a Happy New Year to all :)
