Bushmaster II and Windows 8.1

Hi All

I use my Bushmaster II connected to windows 7 notebook and it works fine. I recently tried a Windows 8.1 laptop and it doesn't recognize the Bushmaster II.

The windows 7 notebook comes up with something like "USB HD Audio" in the Audio section of the control panel when I plug the Bushmaster II in, whereas nothing appears on the Windows 8.1 laptop. I can't find any suitable drivers for Windows 8.1. Am I missing something, as I have only ever used my Bushmaster II and my previous Caiman with the windows 7 notebook.

Any help would be appreciated.

I had the same issue on Win 8.1. I cured it by uninstalling all third party audio drivers, Asio4all, and things like that.

I don't own a BM2, but I thought BM2 only has optical and coax inputs and no USB. Are you confused it with Caiman

I reckon it is the Asynch-1 that is being confused with the BM.
