Great condition - tracks and plays well.
Cantilever is straight and true.
Comes installed in the Technics headshell shown, and with Cardas leads, so can be safely posted in the pukka Denon case, as seen.
£80 UK delivered. :)

Now all you need to do is enjoy it for a year or so, until you've saved up for a Koetsu with matching SUT and top notch phono stage. Plus a new TT & arm to do it justice. About six grand may get you there. ;) :)

I used my DL-110 and DL-160 MCs at 2 grams, along with all the other MCs I have and have previously owned. 2 grams always seems to work for me. The only exception was a Technics EPC-305MC, which was happy at about 1.7 grams due to moderately highish compliance (lovely cartridge).
Unless of course, I'm using one of my ADCs, then it's around 1.2 grams, but they're not MCs.

Incidentally, the DL 110 works in the arm on an AR XA turntable.
That arm is much better than it looks, as is the turntable itself...

I read a forum comment somewhere that the ideal is 1.7g for the DL-110 - but like Geoff I prefer to run most carts a bit on the heavy side - 2g was good for me.

yes the xa is definitely an ugly ducking, the yanks go made for them and lots of upgrade parts.
i think your right guys re the vtf,2g seems to make it sing compared to 1.8g, a bit more fiddling today and she's come alive,if anyone knows the album known as hds 701 they all sound as though they in the room playing, lovely clarity.
