wanted: double box

I have to send a photo stage (full size valve component) to Spain.

I've been all through the Garage and I don't have a suitable box. Anyone got something they can spare/sell, preferably within M3/M4/M25 ish sort of area?

Tom, go to a local shop and pick up some heavy duty cardboard that they will be throwing away.

Sharpen a kitchen knife and make boxes to sizes that you need.

With additional internal padding and THREE layers of cardboard, plus a roll of tape keeping it all together, it is a very safe way of doing it .

You may want to remove the valves and wrap them individually, inside these boxes.

Or contact a local packaging company who sells boxes of all sizes

Or make a custom wooden crate out of 2x1" and 6mm ply , Pack it internally with polystyrene

Yep, back of local stores, you will find carts where they stack all their cardboard boxes for recycling. I have gotten some from my local Co Op before.

Just a thought... place the valves in plastic piping (water pipe etc) with a little bit of bubble wrap around them and they will be safe... just need to find plastic piping to fit... hope that helps..
