Looking for a good bargain on a pair of high-end floor standing speakers to integrate into a vinyl lovers system powered by Naim pre and power with Michell Orbe turntable, SME V and Koetsu Rosewood Signature cartridge. Let me know what you have.
More upper mid than high end, but I do have a very nice pair of ART Skibo's I no longer use. PM me for details and photographs if you are interested :)
There was a set of Edingdales on sale here not long ago....not sure if they sold.
I've got some PMC Pb1i s in walnut if you're interested.

Just consider this one as a bit of a challenge he he. I see your are retail Dave and my friend feels there are far better bargains to be had in the private used market but try us, what do you have?

I've got all sorts but I wasn't promoting my wares, just pointing out that it's not possible to advise without a budget to work to.

Max £3-4k but saying that if he finds speakers that original sold for £3k and he can buy them for £1k I know which path he will take ;)

I might sell my Focal 1028be as soon as I found replacement for them.
I have a pair of Townsend Glastonbury Tor speakers. Ugly as home made sin - black felt covered, with marble top and base. Cases are reinforced plaster of paris. A truly stunning set of speakers. The custom bass/mid reaches up to the 7.5KHz crossover point totally linearly. Most speakers cross over at about 3.5KHz, the ear is most susceptible to phase distortion around this frequency. There are ribbon tweaters for silky top end. Frequency response is 18Hz to 22KHz at +/- 1dB.
PM me if interested, these are, genuinely, the best speakers I have ever heard - but they ARE ugly!
Cheers, Mark.

Thanks Mark, I don't think ugly speakers will work in his environment I'm afraid but thanks anyway ;)

I've just posted a pair of Kudos C20 in Oak in the trade section. Less than 3 hours use and of course, as new. Usual price is £3395 but this pair only £2600.
Also posted on PFM and E-Bay next week.

Thanks for the offer but these are not his speakers of choice, buy many thanks for trying.
With 3-4K to spend, especially on the end of Naim amps, I find the whole concept of what have you got
a tad ridiculous?
Well past caring as I've had my fill of people thinking a 4K power amp for 1.4K is a serious bargain, even though it
means them selling the whole of their existing system to suit.
Would have to say a bargain is only a bargain if it makes you happy and with 4K to play with, I'd have a fair
idea of what I wanted rather than this open ended line of enquiry:rolleyes:
I wouldn't intrude on a thread but noticing you are trade, I'd say if you are advising him, it's a very strange way of going about it.
If I've got the wrong end of the stick , my apologies but still find this advert verging on the bizarre:mental:

1) My account should read private not trade 2) my friend lives in far corner of North Devon and struggles to find anyone in his area who caters for his needs 3) for £4k the market is flooded with loudspeakers and what you may want is not necessarily what my friend wants 4) I am not so conceited to think that my recommendations are the end of the matter and there could be others in the used market that could be had that my friend would prefer 5) I find your message rather arrogant and if you were genuinely concerned you would have sent me a private message first rather than attacking this thread. Now we run the risk of it being hacked with stupid opinionated messages as a result of this!

Will moderation become necessary in this thread? I hope not.
Paul, I don't think your post added anything useful here. Just being critical, is not helpful.
Keep it friendly folks.
