Neil, it wouldn’t matter a damn if they were selling SME30s for £100 at Richer Sounds, I still wouldn’t stoop to that sort of behaviour! However, I don’t think how good, or otherwise, what’s being sold is really responsible for the hysteria; it’s the fact that it’s cheap and thus perceived as a ‘bargain'!!

Think I have had 100 emails from about 8 different companies about their black friday weekend and how I can get a bargain. They went in the trash. I got a better bargain by saving my money and bought 2 nice records from normal ways and normal prices. I will appreciate them more as I didnt behave like an arsehole to get them. Part and parcel of modern living. No one knows each other or cares.

End of the day this was unfair and showed rank stupidity among the shops. You make folks cue, you let them in one at a time and you limit what they can have - simples :) When I worked in Brown goods that is what the shop I worked at did for the boxing and new year day sales.

Anyone prepared to camp out all night, or arrive very early in my view deserved to get first crack at it, not the crazy stampede one saw. I suspect much was born out of a fear of missing what they had cued for but that's no excuse for animalistic behaviour.
