Deciding to downsize my rig a bit due to current living arrangements so my Avondale power amp is up for grabs.
I've owned this amp since January 2011 and it was originally built by Jon (Zener), over on Pinkfishmedia. I believe Jon was working with Les as a kind of southern based Avondale builder/distributor, so rest assured that the amp has been built correctly to Avondale's specs. I've managed to dig out Jon's original build thread here, which shows the internals
http://www.pinkfishmedia.net/forum/showthread.php?t=31478
Essentially it consists of:
2 x NCC200 boards
2 x Minicap 6 modules
1 x huge 700VA transformer with dual secondaries
All housed in arguably one of the nicest examples of casework design out there, a NAP250 chrome bumper case. The case is generally in good condition for it's age with some minor marks here an there.
My father has a recently serviced olive NAP250 and in his system (52/SC) we both agreed the Avondale had the edge with an all together more resolved, natural sound. This is a serious amp for the money!
I don't have the original Naim box, but have a suitable alternative. It will come with an original Naim mains cable. I would rather the amp was collected from N1, but can post if necessary.
Looking for £650 ono
