WOO AUDIO Fireflies 7 ..... anyone got one ?

Hi

Been bewitched for quite a while now by the The WooAudio Fireflies 7. I mean, they're absolute hiFi PORN to look at in the magazines. But does the sound quality match the looks (and the price) ?

I'm also curious ... I know its a headphone amp with built in DAC, but can the DAC be used as a standalone between source and integrated amp/speakers also ?

If anyone's got one, comments or opinions would be welcome as I'm half tempted to get one at some point down the line. You can see the kind of gear I'm using in my signature below.

I love their stuff. The DAC/transport looks great, as does the WA2 IMHO.

I had a WA3 that I got off ebay to use as a valve preamp - just to get some valve sound into a 2nd system. Very well made for the money. Why there are no UK dealers I do not know. A real shame.

The WA3 was very nice but not good driving headphones it wasn't designed to drive, like the AKG 702. No surprises there then.

Jack won't send at a reduced value so you'll get hit for rip off tax big style I am afraid. Up to you if you think it is worth it.
